Ubisoft’s unique strategy and long-term vision in AI revolution - part 1

Ubisoft is a French game company founded in 1986 and infused with incomparable romantic humanistic feelings and imagination in video games. The Ubisoft has a variety of refreshing and impressive works such as "Rayman", "Prince of Persia", "Watch Dogs" and the famous "Assassin's Creed" series, each of which own thousands of loyal fans around the world. However, once Ubisoft's performance is unsatisfactory, fans will make all kinds of funny sarcasm and jokes about this loved company.

In addition to instability in the game server, Ubisoft has a large number of bugs that seriously affect the player's experience. Ubisoft Montreals newly established La Forge studio announced at the Ubisoft Developer Conference in February this year an AI assistant named Commit Assistant, specifically designed to debug. It is hoped to relieve the programmer from testing and adjusting the bugs of the game code, at the same time, to get rid of their own Bugisoft's notoriety. Taking a closer look at this AI assistant and the La Forge studio behind it, we can easily discover Ubisofts unique strategy and long-term vision in this AI revolution.

The bug in the game refers to the abnormal function, poor experience, data loss, abnormal interruption, etc. caused by the error in the game design code during the game running. For most gamers, what they pursue is nothing more than to find an immersive experience in the game that is different from the real world; and the emergence of the Bug is their nightmare. Imagine if you were staring at your Handheld Game Players screen that your character is riding a white horse on the scenic Nile River to explore the mystery of the ancient tomb (Assassin's Creed: Origin), or when your character is planning the next hacking operation in the San Francisco Bay Area (Watchdog 2), an eye-catching NPC flashed in front of you, it will disrupt your exciting game times, right?
